Winchester District Older Person community of practice.

I was delighted to be invited to present at St John's Winchester to a fantastic group of people representing a wide range of organisations and services supporting older people across the Winchester district.

The room brought together colleagues from the NHS, Winchester City Council, Hampshire Home Library Service, Dementia Friendly Winchester, Winchester Radio, Citizens Advice, care homes, domiciliary care providers, social prescribers, Anna Chaplains, and many other voluntary and community organisations.

A huge credit goes to Tony at Home Instead for bringing everyone together with a shared vision: to strengthen the support available for older people through genuine collaboration and a person-centred approach.

It was inspiring to see such a diverse group committed to working across organisational boundaries, sharing ideas, building relationships, and improving outcomes for older people in our community.

An impressive community of practice has been nurtured, and it was a privilege to be part of the conversation. Thank you for the invitation—I look forward to seeing how this collaborative work continues to grow.
