Meet the Director

Rachel is a compassionate qualified Cognitive Stimulation Therapy facilitator with a deep commitment to supporting those with early dementia to live well.

With 30 years experience in primary education—serving as Deputy Headteacher and leader of teaching and learning—she honed exceptional skills in communication, engagement, and person-centred support. Her career also encompassed mentoring, coaching, and staff training, prioritising nurturing potential, meaningful connections and inclusive practices.

After transitioning from education, Rachel broadened her focus, helping priority groups access training and employment but missed the face-to-face engagement with people she could help. So, now, drawing on both professional experience and personal insight, Rachel is a qualified Therapy Facilitator; developing and delivering creative, engaging sessions to enhance self-esteem and prolong confidence to socialise. Her love for vintage artefacts, puzzles, storytelling, crafts and music enriches her work, fostering joy, self-esteem, and social confidence.

Outside of work, Rachel balances her roles as a wife to a career soldier and musician and an outrageously proud mum of two grown-up children and a grandmother to the first new treasure in the family! Rachel's experiences with her ageing mum, who lived 260 miles away, further deepened her appreciation for the value of group social activities, like CST, in enhancing day to day wellbeing and over all quality of life.

With warmth, creativity, and a profound respect for every individual's story, Rachel creates spaces where people can feel connected, valued and able to thrive.

Rachel holds a CST facilitator qualification from Memory Matters, developed by University College London and a current DBS certificate.

(Rachel also holds both a Batchelor's and a Master's degree in Education)
